All Creation Worships Him

My husband and I are hopeful the Humming birds will return again this year. Our feeders are clean and full of nectar and waiting for the tiny, brilliant things to discover this source of nourishment and energy. Theirs is a fascinating rhythm of day-time aerial dancing and night-time hibernation. And while we prepare to delight in their return, I am grateful for this moment of reflection.

Spring begins to unfold, and creation seems to let out one big sigh of contentment that the moment of birth and bloom has arrived. One can almost feel the power of new life bursting forth as “all creation worships Him.” This seemingly spontaneous eruption of beauty fills me with wonder that our Creator God should have such serious and holy intentions for His children while also displaying His charm, tenderness and imagination in the myriad of living things, both animate and inanimate, which He has displayed in our temporary home.

We serve a mighty God, we belong to a good Father, and we are to seek always the face of our Savior, who has loved us and has gone to prepare a place for us in our intended eternal home with Him. And not only that, He sent the Holy Spirit to teach, guide and enable us to be alive unto God in Christ. This amazing grace, which He bestowed upon us, is all the power and sufficiency we need to live a life worthy of His call.

How does this knowledge affect your daily life? Do you believe He is personal and accessible? Do you believe He wants you to have everything you need to live a life worthy of His call? (1 Thessalonians 2:11-13; 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)

God loves us. I can say this with confidence, because no matter who you are, or what choices you have made in life, God sent His Son into the world because of His great love for all. He has set about to advance His Kingdom. He is not willing that any should perish, and He holds all things together by the word of His power. (John 3:16; Isaiah 9:7; 2 Peter 3:9; Hebrew 1:3)

Heavenly Father, thank you for holding me together. Thank you for being with me and for loving me so relentlessly. Thank you for never giving up on me. You are faithful and true and I believe your word, which is life to me every day. Search me, O God, and root out any wicked way in my heart. Let me always be quick to give a good report of your love and mercy and to make choices that honor your great name. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Until next week, beloved, walk in the power of His Spirit of grace and live worthy of His call.
